Reviews
We were in a gardenside room, essentially a small villa in very well maintained garden and grounds. First impressions were that it was a little dated, but everything was very clean and well presented. The staff, from those in reception to breakfast and the cleaning team, were excellent and very friendly. The swimming pool was superb. My only negatives were that pool towels were not obviously available (collect from reception), and their use was charged to the room. And breakfast was very simple - the scrambled eggs were lovely but rarely warm!
Lovely accommodation & views of Lake Garda. No room service, no bar in hotel only across drive, up steps near pool. No lunch service. Asked at dinner for wine spritzer to be told "soda is at the bar"!! No thought of getting it then!? 30 minute(if you're fit) walk from Desenzano Town. Got impression that as hotel closing for winter in 2 weeks place was running down! Staff in general very pleasant & helpful. Strange that in an hotel on the lake total lack of information regarding trips, tours etc. Lake Garda itself and the towns beautiful, we enjoyed the holiday however.
Nice hotel and would recommend
We stayed in one of the 24 garden apartments which was large with two bedrooms, lounge and kitchen. Furniture looked dated and a coat of white paint would do wonders.
Large fridge/freezer, microwave and four ring gas hob (€10/day supplement) ,big bathroom with bath tub and loads of shelving. The hairdryer is not great, the Aircon is very effective. Lovely garden area with outdoor furniture but only one, rather dirty plastic lounger. The nicer ones are around the pool.
Breakfast in the hotel had a reasonable selection however on occasion the staff were very slow replacing empty selections e.g. fruit, croissants etc.
There is a Penny market a short walk from the hotel were you can buy cheap wine, beer etc. Also the usual fruit, meats etc
Great restaurant close by called the Golden Pepper which I would recommend
In summary nice hotel, good location about a 25 minute walk from the port/centre of town.
Lovely hotel. Large room, air conditioned.
Good sized pool. Beautiful gardens. Nice bar and restaurant. Buffet breakfast-cereals, croissants, fruit, breads, ham, cheese, cucumber tomatoes, fresh fruit, cake, toast etc.
4 course evening meal on the terrace overlooking the gardens was excellent.
Friendly, pleasant staff.
Short walk to the Lake but then half an hour walk to the centre with bars restaurants & shops. Didn't see a taxi!
A wonderful hotel in a lovely location. The staff in this hotel have excellent customer service & are so friendly & welcoming. Food absolutely fantastic, great choice of Italian food, there were empty plates after each course! Room was lovely, very spacious. Great swimming pool.
What we got was a very dirty, unhealthy room wich was very different then what we had booked.
We have seen many hotels but this is something we have never seen before. That's why we checked out after just one night of no sleep.
The room was smaller then what we have booked. The room was very dark and had absolutely no view.
The airco did not work properly, had mold in it and the room smelled musty.
The toilet seat was crooked and you could not sit on it without sliding of the seat. The toilet was not well cleaned under the toilet seat was a collection of dirtyness from multiple guests.
The carpet was also not clean. Our room was right next to the elevator shaft, the noice that it made was terrable, it would wake u up immediately.
When we arrived on friday we immediately made our complains to the manager about the size of the room and the misleading advertisement online. She told us that she would give us an other room on sunday 12 PM. This was before we saw all the mustiness in the room. Saturday we spoke to the manager again, we showed her the pictures and wanted to check out because we had no trust in the hygiene standard of this hotel. The manager wanted to show us a new room wich was ready earlier..
It just costed us half an hour waiting and we could drink something on the cost of the hotel. We accepted the offer and waited because she wanted to show us the room. This room was larger and had a view. We had to decide in half an hour she told us. For us there was no more trust in the hygiene standard and we decided to leave.
We paid a €1000,- for 6 nights. We stayed just one night. This night was not even worth a single euro. We didn’t get our money back, not even an polite respons. The staff is very rude. They laugh in your face.
Never go here.
Very very bad. We booked a standard double room en we had something totally different than the pictures online.
The room was filthy and old. There’s was moist in the airconditioning, they didn’t helped us with our luggage. It was nothing you will expect from a 4 star hotel.
The room was small and dark, only had 1 window with a ‘view’ to the staircase you use in case of fire.
Only nice thing about this hotel was the swimmingpool.
They also blocked me on instagram because I try to get in contact with them… I’m devastated
Really happy with the hotel, we stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis.
Friendly staff who all seemed to be able to converse equally comfortably in Italian, English or German.
Great constantly replenished continetal breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, bread cheese, cereal, meats, scrambled eggs.
Lovely pool very surprised to see other reviews criticising the cleanliness as we could see no evidence of any mess.
Air conditioning in room which was comfortably big enough for two adults and a child.
Close to Penny's a supermarket that has very cheap juice, crisps etc for picnics during the day.
5 mins walk to the lake.
Roughly 30 mins walk along a coastal path (suitable for buggies) to the town centre.
A long gradual uphill 30 mins to the train station.
Exceeded our expectations in every way.
Free Wi-Fi in rooms and by pool.
